Smith Mountain Lake VA, UV Nautical Wood Chart, Large, 24.5" x 31"

The Blue Ridge going blue in the distance, water still enough to hold the whole ridgeline, and a pontoon drifting somewhere out past the point. Smith Mountain Lake is the sort of place families return to for decades without ever quite exhausting it.

Known as the Jewel of the Blue Ridge, Smith Mountain Lake covers around 20,600 acres in the foothills of southwestern Virginia, formed where the Roanoke and Blackwater rivers were dammed in the shadow of Smith Mountain itself. Its long, branching arms give it roughly 500 miles of shoreline.

Our Smith Mountain Lake UV wood chart is one of a kind and made with incredible attention to detail. High-quality Baltic Birch is laser-cut into layers that reveal the underwater terrain, and each layer is hand-stained so the water grows darker as the depth increases, creating a striking gradient that brings the contours to life. Ultra-high resolution UV printing then adds the points of interest and fine location details to the top layer. Because there is no acrylic cover, nothing sits between your hand and the wood - you can run your fingers across the contours and feel the depth as well as see it.

The whole lake, arm by arm, in hand-stained birch.
